New Jersey Business Owners Assistance

9/29/2020 (Permalink)

On Friday, September 25th, Governor Murphy extended the public health emergency in NJ due to COVID-19 by an additional 30 days.  You can view the declaration here:  https://d31hzlhk6di2h5.cloudfront.net/20200925/96/30/f2/77/f0a32b020de298aed2c63577/EO-186.pdf

If you are you a large or small employer in the State of NJ, and if you have not already opened your doors to your employees and the public, the State of NJ has strict guidance governing the rules of doing so.  Large corporations have many resources and individuals on staff, experienced in consulting in public health emergency situations.  Smaller business owners who may be struggling with the guidelines and uncertainty of re-opening, or staying open, must often pay outside consultants to help them make decisions in these changing times.

The New Jersey Economic Development Authority ( NJEDA) is providing free consulting to help small and micro businesses in communities that have been hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. Through this program, these businesses will receive expert advisory services and staff support to assist them in securing grants and loans and overcoming their current challenges, adapting, and preparing for long-term success after the pandemic ends.  To see if your business qualifies for this assistance, visit Business Consulting for COVID-19 Recovery Program:

The State of NJ has many other programs in place to assist businesses, large and small, create plans and move forward.  Visit NJ’s Operational Reopening Resources page here:

Guidance from the State also includes specifics on what guidelines must my business follow to be open?  They can be found here:  https://faq.business.nj.gov/en/articles/3820777-what-guidelines-must-my-business-follow-to-be-open
